Pure Shift Productions is a company that provides several services in the realm of the music production and promotions in the DC Metro area. From original music creations to engineering your bands album, we're here to help you make great music!

Here is a list of what we can offer:

1) Recording and Producing your CD

2) Mastering and short run CD production after the recording process is finished (Max 100 CDs)

3) Helping promote your album by setting up a website and submitting your CD for digital distribution.

4) We also offer freelance audio engineering at $25.00 an hour. Contact us for more information.

Our goal is to help get your career started. It can be quite expensive when you look at the cost of recording and producing an album. With Pure Shift Productions, we offer a service where you can record for free! Now, you're probably wondering what the catch is and that's understandable in this day and age.

Here's how things work:

1) You record your album with us at no cost until the album is finished.

2) Pure Shift Productions reserves the distribution rights for your album. Basically this means we will retain a portion of your CD sales to cover the cost of albums production. Once Pure Shift Productions reaches a profit of $300.00 from your album (aproximately 40 CDs), you are free and clear to walk away or you can continue using us for short run distribution (CDs will then cost you $1.50 each). You can also pay the $300.00 up front and your album will imediately be released from your distribution contract.

3) We'll set up a website for you with an MP3 player, blog, calendar and photo gallery at no cost for 1 year ($10.00 per each additional year).

4) We'll help you set up with other promotional websites such as CD Baby, Cafepress, Lulu and more. This includes graphic design if needed.

Now, how can you get started working with us? Well, first you need to e-mail us with the following information:

1) Name

2) Band or project name

3) The number of people in your band or project

4) How long have you been together

5) The style of music

6) How many songs you currently have prepared for recording

We require you to send us a demo of what you would like to record. It can be on cassette, CD or MP3s (please e-mail us before you attempt to send us MP3s). Pure Shift Production reserves the right to refuse any project that we feel doesn't fit with in the confines of this program. While we can record just about any type of music, we look more towards working with folk, acoustic and electronic music musicians.
